Regarding elections in AP. Earlier there were only two parties in AP. Congress and TDP. The Communists CPM and CPI used to take support of the either party to get little gain. Last elections 2004, they had sailed with Congress. Now they are with TDP. As far as TDP is concerned, after formation of Praja Rajyam Party (Chiranjeevi), most of the top leaders of TDP have joined PRP. Hence, TDP has no other alternative except to recruit new incumbents.
As far as PRP is concerned, though Chiranjeevi has started the party with good intentions and motto, the message it has spread in the public is that it is a party based on particular caste. Hence, there is a polarization of votes. Because of this, some of the TDP strongholds can be pocketed.
As regards CPI and CPM, the Communism which taken birth in Russia, is not existed in USSAR. But Indian communist parties still feel that Communism is the only solution for present society. They have no principles. In earlier years, communism was favoured by most of the people because of the leadership qualities of Pucchallapalli, and other top leaders. Now nothing is remained in the party except sycophants.
Another party Lok Satta brain child of former IAS Officer Mr. JP narayan, is some what good party with some good vision. That party is still in the beginning and takes lot of time to reach the people.
The TRS of KCR (Telangana) is party, though in the beginning it could go into the deep of the Telengana sentiments, after joining hands with Communists – who are against separate telengana, TDP - which is from the beginning dead against separate state for Telengana, it has lost its grip, and people in the region are having rethinking, and more over, they want to see that the TRS, TDP, and other communist parties are voted out for their betrayal.
On perusal of the above, Congress will win with good majority in form the government again in AP. |
